“Life on a high fibre diet”
Genius!
Show notes:
- Janes Probaby Knitting - we talk about her blog in the interview. Check out those knee high sock blockers! Can there really be no one in the UK capable of making some of these in wood? Pleeeeeeease leave a comment if you know of any!
- Wye Sue Knits - 11th Jan post. What an amazing collection of needles!
- SkipNorth - the most amazing knitting and spinning holiday around. This link takes you to the timetable, the location, the cost and the booking form. PLACES ARE STILL AVAILABLE!
- Nickerjac and Lixie (me) organise it so here are both our blogs. Check out Nic’s for pics of the adorable Pete who will be the SkipNorth mascot for 2008!

Blogs mentioned this time round:
- WoollyWormhead - marvel at the pictures of the hats coming in her new book. Can’t wait for it to come out.
- Turvid - Take a look at her 12 pairs from Sokker 2007 and admire the last pair called “Sodera”.
The winners of the competition are Turvid and Heather (night_crickett) - Congratulations! The next competition is to come up with a tagline/byline for this podcast. My initial suggestion last week of “It’s not craftypod but I like it” is your benchmark. It needs to be something pithy and concise and the winner will be used throughout 2008. The prize is 500g of Debbie Bliss Maya in a lovely red. (Photo coming once I find my camera…curse it.)
Knitted Christmas Tree Decos
- Craftypod.com links to Adorn’s blog.
- Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Knitters Almanac (available from socktopus.co.uk)
- Celestine by Norah Gaughgan on Ravelry
- Search for ‘decorations’ ravelry and then look at the projects tagged with this (should be around 70)
- Mini socks as christmas tree decos - perhaps from Cat Bourdhi’s new sock book
Lille - christmas markets and knitting shops will be coming on my blog soon.
Don’t forget to enter the competition and to let me know if there is anything you think should be featured on the next show. Also get in touch if you’d like to sponsor the next episode!

It’s true. I need a digital voice recorder to do interviews with a decent sound quality. I’d like to get this one. So I’m going to do something I feel a bit weird about and add a donate button to this site. If people feel they can donate just £2 each towards this that would be very lovely.

I’m planning on making the competition in the latest episode a regular thing so am looking for people to donate prizes for future ones. If you have something to promote that is knitting/crochet related get in touch and we can chat about it. I’m as keen to hear from the smallest etsy sellers as I am to get an email from Rowan!
