Happy to have you back!! yeah!!

Let me know how your sock pouch with the 'window' works out - my husband needs a case for his sculpting tools, which are double ended, and I was thinking of trying a see-through material approach so he could see both ends.

The sock wars I hear are brutal - Cat from "let's knit together" a video podcast has an entire episode about it - It sounds fun, but I don't knit that fast!

Good to hear from pooch again too - and what goes better with knitting than wine!

Hi, Lixie,
I enjoy your podcast! I too need more project bags and will be watching the evolution of your thinking on this. Time to dust off the sewing machine, I guess.
As to blogs, I wonder if you are familiar with this one: www.lushknits.com.

YEAH!!! You're back. I enjoyed the wine pairings immensely.

It was a great podcast and I'm so glad you're doing the podcast again.

As far as bags go, you are NOT crazy for wanting a bag that has a window. Sounds wonderful. Let us know if you find one.

Also, I use HUGE bags that i can throw a ton of stuff in at once. I just bought a bag at Stitches Midwest from Blue Kitty Designs. It's huge and has lots of pockets. She also carries a variety of project bag sizes and notions bags too!

You can actually get some fabric that is clear. They use it a lot to make travel bags for toiletries so you can see where your toothbrush is. I am sure you could find it somewhere. That is a very good idea for a knitting bag. i just have to dump everything out of mine to find the needle at the bottom.

I must be thicker than worsted weight - I still can't understand Sock Wars! From what I can gather it involves 'pressure knitting' - my least favourite kind. Having finished Ravelympics with a few minutes to spare and unable to pick up sticks for a week afterwards I know of what I speak.

You have a listener in Spain as of this week - we finally got internet at home! I've got a lot of listening to catch up with, Let the good times roll. And you probably know this already but there's a guy on Ebay based in the UK who has started selling wooden sock blockers which look really nice. Here's a link but if it doesn't work just try searching in Ebay and he should pop up:

Hi Lixie!

Love your podcast. Yours is one of my favs.

Suggestion for a show: I'm heading to London in June, so can you give some ideas of what yarn shops are worth heading to? Preferbly ones that have a good place to park the boyfriend.

Dearest Lixie,
I'm nearly caught up with all of your podcast episodes and I'm lovin' it. Thank you so much for all the great information. If I may be so bold as to suggest a possible future podcast feature topic. . . I'd would really love your input on what to knit with fuzzy, acrylic "fun" yarn that you can't get rid of because your dear sister gave it to you as a gift and she thought it was beautiful, (too much information?) -- How do you go about making the most out of not so pretty yarn?

Can't wait for the next episode.
warmest regards from the USA,
Rosie

I usually have two to three projects going, and they go like this:

Easy/Carry in my purse: Usually socks, something with a simple pattern (from ribbed to something like Jaywalkers). Right now it's some rotating rib tube socks.

Medium/Bring to Knitting Circle: Can be bigger/ more complicated. Right now it's the Celtic Tote from IK

Fiendish/Work on at home alone while ignoring my phone email tv and the dog: Right now it's the Arrrgyle Socks from Moth Heaven, for my husband. I keep telling him if he ever wonders if I love him to just look at those *$#& socks.
