Hi Lixie, I’ve been listening to your podcast for a while now, so thought it was about time I left a comment. I’m amazed there’s no-one in the UK supplying sock blockers, but as I am a novice knitter who has only just mastered two needles, let alone three or more, I haven’t needed to find blockers yet. When I had a quick look, I could only find plastic ones or wooden blockers from uy in the US. However, my husband is a carpenter and has often made things for me when needed. He is planning to make some sock blockers from sustainable birch ply and I have persuaded him that he might fill a need for my fellow knitters if he has a small ebay presence…..! Perhaps you could let us know what you look for in a good sock blocker, so that we can provide just the right kind of thing? I’d appreciate your suggestions. And I promise you can test out the first pair!
